05/12-22/12
Monday, December 24, 2007 @ 4:58:00 PM
just some updates between the days from 5th-22nd.
05/12-13/12: CIBTC RC (residential camp). nothing more to say. all the thoughts have been expressed by joel, elizabeth and me. i reached home and almost quarrelled with him again. CRAP.
14/12: happy very-belated birthday to sue-anne and my blog! LOL.
i practically slept the whole day! i woke at 2. after finding out that starhub is under service till 1800, i slept till 1830 then use the laptop. LOL. one day wasted. with almost zero worries about the clothes needed, recee trip, group flag, group cheer, group name and group performance.
15/12: i spent about 50 bucks! MY HEAVENS.
i met jonathan at yishun mrt station and on the way, we saw syahid. i left earlier for army market to buy the clothes and stuff. 16 for top-up card. 4 for bum boat. 8 for food. 12 for clothes. 2 for watch strap. 2 for twine. 2 for gloves. i forgot what else i bought. but the price is about there. x= i slept extremely late at around 4am do up the horrible group flag. i should have killed myself for it.
16/12-19/12: CIBTC ATC (adventure training camp). all the thoughts will be in another post.
after that, i hopped onto bus 59 (i think) to bishan mrt station. it was a long and torturous journey. LOL. i was smsing amera and jasmine. i was so glad that my battery can last.
i saw this particular car, with the driver smoking inside. the worst part is, the windows are not opened to ventilate! MY HEAVENS! how can one survive? i was staring with half disbelief and half disgust.
20/12: 13 BRAVOians met up to have their dinner at boon keng's chong pang steamboat. it was so ironic that i have to travel for one hour to have chong pang's steamboat when i live next to chong pang. -,- THE JOYOUS TIME WE HAD.
21/12: CIBTC POP (passing out parade) training. my boots are polished for the fun of it, seriously. and the fun was to get grilled by the smiling sun. i did not sleep the night before and was on msn chatting till 4+ am. so i was basically dozing off under the weather causing me to have low blood circulation.
several voices woke me up. the most memorable one was jasmine's. she was standing less than a metre away from me and i woke up immediately upon hearing, "all of you are not in rehatkan diri position, so you better show that you are not." something like that. LOL. she did not realise i was dozing off. my position was standard, as in shoulders pulled back, arm locked and holding the sword correctly, BUT MY EYES ARE CLOSED. phew. my round hat "protected" me.
the night time was horrible. my mood changed. for those in ytss 4e4 art class will know this perfectly well. when i did not sleep the night before, my mood will turn foul at around 11am. but this time, it lasted till 8pm. LOL. i was reminded of joyful things, that's why?
22/12: ACTUAL CIBTC POP! fall-in early in the morning at 734. late like DUH. we practised the d07 formation.
ZAI is the only word to describe it. although the FIs are irritating, but one made sense.
do not stop when you are tired, stop when you are done. the burning sensation we enjoyed by producing the
hissing sounds. i was scolded for being too close to contingent 1 and then too far away from them again. bloody guy. IF YOU WANT TO SAY OUT THE TIMING, CAN YOU AT LEAST SAY THE CORRECT ONE? i think he has seriously forgot the fact that 148 are holding rifles and 4 are holding swords (this statistic is only for d07 CITs. HOTs are not included YET).
squad time and beautifying our uniforms. offline, online, afk (away from keyboard), afc (away from chair), appear offline, on the phone. joke of my round hat and russell's peak cap between only the 24 BRAVOians without the instructors realising that all 22 of us (except me and russell) are laughing.
the last lap of rehearsal. again the burning sensations and then the naggings.
we went to change into our number one and of course, EVERYONE WAS SMART! all the 152 hearts were thumping with excitement and anxiety for everything to be smooth-sailing. well well well. a slight drizzle triggered every heart to start praying. a bit of thunder caused us to curse and swear- some in the hearts, while some were vocal. of course, the excitement, anxiety and praying did not stop while cursing and swearing.
the sky was finally clearing at around 1750. BUT. thunder and lightning was present, so we went to drill shed to wait.
thank you mr charles chong for giving us the hope! wait wait wait. the moment came. wet weather contingency plan was activated, with many grumblings, curses, shoutings, jeerings, swears and what you may think of. this part was
SUPERBLY BO SEH.
we went into the Harmony Hall and formed up. the least boring part was the donning of our Cadet Inspector rank and the keluar baris. d07 was not shown, but our spirit was evident.
i hope we did not disappoint the CIIs who spent 5 months preparing for our course and many sleepless nights.it was then the MASS PHOTO-TAKING PART and THE MASS CHEERING FOR THE VIDEO!
we kept our arms by the contingent commanders' and parade commander's commands. COOL!
*REPEATED*ANYWAY. when we were marching back to classroom 53 (sad that it was not the usual classroom 13), INSTRUCTOR CAINE LIEW XIA RI was our I/C.
(this is an important point. please take extra note!) instructor Jasmine was marching beside me and zhi jun. as in when we fall-in, she is in front of me and behind zhi jun (cannot visualize, it is your problem).
when we are reaching the corridor outside the admin block, INSTRUCTOR TEO PUA WEI asked, "where the hell is your I/C?" many of us shouted, CAINE SIR!
that moment was classic. we should have asked someone to take a photo of the marching squad BRAVO!
